The Role:

The Technical Business Analyst: Product will play a vital role in helping to execute PEX’s New Customer Journey, one of PEX’s top priorities for 2022 and beyond. By partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Technology, the product manager will deliver strategic initiatives and launch friction-free customer experiences. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of customer behavior and usage of the PEX platform, and use that knowledge to provide insights and recommendations.

Product Managers at PEX play a vital role by leading the product development process. They own business requirement gathering and documentation and manage specific product development efforts, assuring benchmarks are achieved and that the final output aligns with the overall product strategy. The team’s mission is to dramatically increase functionality and usage through a combination of superior user experience and compelling features and functionality.

The Product Manager is also responsible for maintaining and distributing product documentation, including training and support materials. They are responsible for measuring the quality of product delivery and performance and resolving product issues. They should be comfortable interacting with customers to gather feedback and assemble use cases.

What You’ll Do:

Work cross-functionally with key business stakeholders and engineering to define an iterative approach towards building out product features
Deliver strategic components of PEX’s CRM and customer insights platform
Create business cases and analyze the financial viability of new features and opportunities for business expansion
Conduct customer research, market and competitor analysis to create differentiated and relevant product feature sets or position current product suite for different target segments
Complete ongoing data analysis to understand internal and external customer behaviors in order to prioritize roadmap initiatives
Synthesize complex challenges into comprehensive user stories
Explore and identify potential vendors/business partners and represent business in initial discussions
Develop acceptance criteria for user stories that aligns with the company’s goals
Manage development by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; and leading product deliverables
Participate in integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) and functionality testing
Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing support articles; training other members of the team and organization
Work with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and pain points to define product features that meet growth, P&L and customer goals

Required Skills & Qualifications:

4+ years developing / managing products / digital experiences; prior experience working on small business tools, SaaS products, payments or financial services, or commerce platforms is a plus
Experience using SQL for queries
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Must have experience with CRM Platform, Salesforce preferred but not required
Must have experience with at least one enterprise business intelligence tool (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, QLIK)
Nice to haves but not required (two or three would be great): coding experience, various tools: Invision, VSTS, Google Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau, Metabase, Marketo, Bizable SalesForce or other CRM software
